Have you ever found a super cool kid toy your kids can’t live without? Well, this is one of those moments and my hubby and I are perfectly okay with it. The Tri-Side Learn and Play Art Center has become tantamount to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse around here. (Trust me. It’s THAT big of a deal.) Our kiddos ages two and four are obsessed with ANYTHING to do with arts and crafts. Our four-year-old could literally sit and draw/write for hours without taking a break… Just like her mommy that’s for sure. But the kids’ obsession extends to painting, coloring, playing with play dough, modge podge and so much more.
As parents, we try to cultivate an environment of creativity and exploration as our kids learn, grow and develop. Our kids seem to thrive on creative independence so we’ve just learned to roll with it over the years, now it’s second nature. This is why we love the Learn and Play Art Center so much. It is the perfect tool to facilitate a creative learning environment and I am thrilled to share this awesomeness with you!
Little Partners is a wonderful company who strives to nurture the essential partnership between the parent and child. Here at Mommy Convos, we couldn’t agree more with their mission. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with a company so dedicated to inspiring healthy happy homes through creativity, safety and independent learning. So what is the Tri-Side Learn and Play (TLP) Art Center anyway?
The TLP Art Center is a unique twist on a traditional art easel. It’s made of layered pine (so it is built to last). It has three individual sides just like the name reflects. Each side has a particular surface that is great for all kinds of fun projects:
The first side of the TLP Art Center is the traditional chalkboard complete with a handy little tray for chalk and an eraser.
The second side has a quality felt board that is perfect for creating all sorts of fun scenes with homemade or purchased felt story pieces. These ones shown here are the exact ones I loved as a kid. (Nostalgic, I know.) We found them on Amazon a few years ago for pretty cheap, but there are so many different ones to choose from! Here are a couple of our other favorites: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, these felt dolls, or just snag some felt sheets and create your own! The possibilities are endless. Oh! And just like the chalkboard, it comes with a little net at the bottom for easy storage for all your felt pieces.
The final side of the TLP Art Center is multipurpose with a magnetic white board and a paper roll that pulls down from the top. This has your little one prepared for any coloring, drawing or painting project they can come up with. This side also comes with a tray and spill proof paint cups to hold all their little art supplies easily. The shelf at the very bottom of the Art Center is the perfect spot to hold any additional art supplies and keeps everything easily accessible for when inspiration strikes.
Additional Features
One additional feature to mention for each side is they are independently height adjustable – no tools required. Simply unscrew the little green knobs on the corners of the side you want to adjust and pick your placement from three height options. You can have them all the same or vary them to accommodate your individual kiddos’ favorite side.
Putting the Art Center together was a fairly quick process. I did it by myself (and by myself I mean with little “helpers” nagging me at every step) in about an hour. The instructions were simple enough to follow, though I did have my doubts at first because of the large quantity of pieces included. It was easy enough to figure out though.
The Final Verdict
All in all, we LOVE the Tri-Side Learn and Play Art Center. It’s sturdy and well-made, easy to put together and the kids have a blast playing with it while they create their newest masterpieces. Our first impression with Little Partner’s products is one of high quality, well thought-out, intuitive pieces and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

XOXO,
