About The SlyLash:
Melissa Sly was using the traditional metal eyelash curler when the curler clipped off her eyelashes! Devastated by the accident, Sly started using a spoon to curl her eyelashes which is a common practice from her hometown of Saucillo, Chihuahua Mexico. One day of of her kids threw her special eyelash curling spoon in the garbage and the spoon was ruined. From another tragic accident, began the beginning of Melissa Sly’s journey of designing a better alternative to curling eyelashes. Sly not only designed a handy tool for safely curling eyelashes, but made every inch of the tool helpful for makeup application.

Pros:
The biggest perk of the SlyLash is the multi-uses for makeup application: curl eyelashes, contouring, blush/bronzer application, eye brow shaper, cat eye liner, protecting eyelids from mascara smears while applying.
- No risk of cutting off my eyelashes or pinching my eyelids
- Natural “C” curl for my eyelashes.
- Smooth and small tool that easily fits in your hand and purse.
- Easy to wipe clean.
- Create your own curling pressure. No pulling!
- Fair price. Purchase the SlyLash multi-purpose tool for: $9.95 plus this includes free shipping.
Cons:
Hardest part about the SlyLash is the learning curve of doing something different and getting the hang of using the tool properly. So, make sure you give yourself a couple extra minutes to complete your makeup for the first couple of days while using the SlyLash- you’ll be back up to speed in no time!
- Correct technique learning curve- at first I pulled out a lot of eyelashes. I learned the hard way- no pulling on the eyelashes and use less pressure on the SlyLash then when using the traditional metal curling tool. Think “curling a ribbon”.
- To perform the “Cat-Eye” look the corner of the tool is a tad too thick.
If I- Morgan- am being completely honest, I am not a makeup girl. Yes, I wear makeup- but I’ve pinched my eyelids too many times with the traditional lash curler so I don’t curl my eyelashes anymore. So, when I got my hands on this tool, it honestly took me several attempts to get the technique correct. I watched all of the videos to make sure I was using the tool correctly- these videos here from the SlyLash company were very helpful.
Our very own Tiffaynee- who is a makeup-goddess- discovered that she not only loved the SlyLash but uses the multi-purpose tool religiously now. Here Tiffaynee not only shares her opinion about the tool, but also gives a fantastic demonstration. Check out the video below to watch!
Conclusion:
This tool is the perfect combination of convenience in size and functionality. There is no longer a danger of tragically cutting off my eyelashes and gives my eyelashes a natural “C” curl. My eyelids are safe from mascara smears or the terrible pinch of a curler. The SlyLash is a slim tool with multiple ways of making my sometimes messy and quick makeup application cleaner. We truly have become addicted to the fantastic makeup tool that is the SlyLash and can’t wait for you to get your hands on it!
