I had a chance to go through six of the twenty-eight homes in the St. George Parade of Homes this weekend. (Locals: it runs through this coming Sunday, the 25th. I highly recommend going this year!) I want to show off my favorite spots that would totally enhance #themomlife! Stay tuned at the end of all the home “eye candy” and I’ll share a few thoughts I’ve had recently about the luxury life-style.
K Welch Home:

This is the upstairs laundry room for the kids’ floor in the K Welch family-friendly home.

This is a playroom RIGHT off the kitchen so they’re close to the momma! I like the idea of the glass doors- and the obedient children that would come with the home to keep them clean… OR a live-in maid 😉 I’d take that too!

Girls shared bathroom in the K Welch Home

Love the roof line here!

Two of these beds (on the left) looked like crib-sized mattresses… I love the use of space in this room.

Fun cabinetry and less mirror to clean in the boys bath!

I’d never thought about creating a nice sitting area in my Master bedroom, but I like this! I really like the view overlooking the garden boxes in the backyard.

This was one of my favorite things I saw at the parade so far. A sliding barn door hiding an office space, right in the kitchen. One can keep track of all the papers, but NOBODY has to see it!

Loved the beams on the covered patio.

Fun color palette for the bathroom tile- navy and white stripes.

Love the paint color and the floor here.
Slate Ridge home in Stucki Farms:

This floor plan was so unique-that it needs to be shown! The theater room is right next to the family room and kitchen. They have a little bar with stools to separate and one takes a couple steps down into the theater room. The seating in the theater room is love sacs with the family last name embroidered. So cute!

I took SOOO many pictures- I left this one in because it was a colorful reminder to me: fun dishes go a long way in making a dinner get-together special!

Cozy pet apartment under the stairs.

Ideal guest suite: a full-sized fridge, electric stove top, and microwave an eating area and bathroom! A home away from home for someone to visit short or long-term! I wouldn’t want to leave… just sayin’!

…But if you DO need to leave… this is the way out- I just love how this splash of color makes this space cheery and fun 🙂
K H Traveller Home in Stone Cliff:

Dining room #goals right there!

LOVED this set up for the pantry: it was an open walkway, but you could tuck away a mess and have a little privacy back there. Loved the window and desk space!
Building Concepts of Southern Utah:

This cheery, built-in planter box greeted us at Building Concepts home.

I liked these blinds- soft light.

The laundry room floor-plan was genius! This was right off the garage with a door coming from the master closet (I’m standing in that doorway as I take this photo. I like the extra fridge right there too.

This paint technique was really cool for a Master bedroom- Tasteful Trends should have more info on that!

Love the range hood and the lighting too.

Not sure why I love all these desks in every home- but I do!

This shimmery fireplace finish was awesome!! The colors were mostly earthy with just a bit of glam! Tasteful Trends Interiors can help you copy this idea- (or any from this Building Concepts home)! Or you could just buy this house- it’s for sale!
Ivory Homes:

Ivory homes always does SUCH a fun and fabulous job decorating their parade homes. Who knew these orange tiger chairs would be perfect in this office?! I think they totally work with the carpet and subdued shelving and desk.

See what I mean? Ivory Homes interiors- they are just fun!
Interstate Homes:

This was such a great Casita (It was attached in the home- but it was perfect!) Mini fridge and a little counter space make this design stand out.

That sink though… heart eyes!
The Sky is the Limit!
Now, here are my thoughts… about how the sky is really the limit in all things! I am a huge believer in positive thinking. I totally think that we can attract what comes into our lives. It isn’t mysterious magic, but rather through universal laws that simply work! For instance, gratitude for what is already in your life brings more of those things into your life! (Lots more we could cover, but I’ll keep this short today.)
So- as we look at these INCREDIBLE living spaces- I think it’s helpful to guide our thinking. I think a perfect balance is to be so thankful that you have a home and a shower and kitchen. I think it is powerful to be happy and excited for the people that will be enjoying these beautiful living spaces. Soak in all the goodness in these homes, take any inspiration you get and run with it! I often will think limiting thoughts (generally speaking) like- “Oh I’m happy with where I’m at- this would be so over-board for me.” That may be true… But it may not be!
Abundance:
Over the last few years I’ve learned a little bit about the law of abundance- which- simply stated is there is enough resources on this Earth that if used well, could allow for everyone to have every good thing they desire! I used to think it was selfish to desire big things (I still do to some extent- key word- balance!) It’s all about how you think. If you can give to the world something valuable- GIVE! If people are willing to pay you for your gifts, take what they want to give to you! As you desire to buy things with your own money you’ve rightfully acquired- do it! If it blesses people that are creating what you want- it doesn’t do any good to keep it “under a bushel”. A rainy-day savings is a good idea, but
“If God places an impossible dream in your heart, he means to help you fulfill it!” -Lexton
With that thought… as you move onto new and greater pastures, homes, or stages in life you will always be trading problems for different problems! It will be up to YOU to decide where you want to be. You can create peace and contentment in any space. I like to think that thinking well of all humans around you and allowing everyone to do what they think is best is a pretty great way to think. Deep stuff today 🙂
Enjoy your week and get out and enjoy the Parade of Homes!!!

These homes are so beautiful! I love your thoughts. When I go to the Parade of Homes, sometimes I can get caught up in everything I don’t have and will likely never have. But I always walk away feeling better when I see what I do have and incorporate some of the beauty I see from those homes, into my own home.
