Well hello there! My name is Morgan Dewey and I love to travel and go on all kinds of adventures with my family. I am an extremely busy mother to three, sibling to six silly girls and a stupendous wife to one- phew!
Shane and I hit our ten year anniversary this year! We met and married while in college, starved together and got our degrees together too! I received my BA in Music, emphasis in Piano Performance, which is a fancy term for charging big bucks for piano lessons because I play pretty good. 😉 My second passion in college was English and I have dubbed myself with an honorary BA in English, emphasis in creative writing and publishing because I am just a few credits short and still write like crazy. When there are no longer babies at home, I will pick up my paranormal fantasy fiction novels and pursue publication once again, but for now I enjoy focusing on my adorable family.
I am a Disney nerd, know all the classical Disney songs and characters, and I may or may not have thought I was Belle from Beauty and the Beast on my wedding day. The cape makes me a princess right? I find a healthy balance with Disney on one hand while Superhero tycoon companies: Marvel and DC are on the other hand. At a young age I was fascinated with the phenomenal fantasy of super-humans and if I could have one power- it would be to fly! I was fortunate enough that Shane thinks superheroes are alright and lucky enough to have a little boy who is just as fascinated with superheroes and indulges dressing-up with me. Sometimes we make it a family affair:
If you watch for it- I make super hero references in my writing every once and awhile because I just can’t help it. 😉
I have a crafty and artistic side when it comes to sewing projects, but usually drag my husband into doing projects with me because he is filled with great ideas and together we make projects even cooler. Have I mentioned my husband, made our son a Batman cave bed? It’s seriously the coolest thing on the block- literally-kids beg to play in our son’s room just so they can use the rockwall and slide.
Overall, I love being a mom. I love the baby cuddles and the phases of firsts and cheering on the sideline of these kid’s life. I enjoy having adventures with my kiddies. We enjoying playing school where I get to use my mother’s homeschool material and I teach my kids. I am a serious bawler and my heart breaks thinking about my daughter going to all-day school this Fall. Why do they grow up so quickly?? I know being a mom is my calling in life, and although society may look down on motherhood, I am beyond thankful that I get to stay home and participate in my kids life to the fullest. Motherhood is a blessing and I love that I get to share my positive insights about motherhood and this incredible roll we as women play on Mommyconvos.
xoxo Super Morgan
