This week’s Friday Favorites don’t have a rhyme or reason besides the fact that they make my life a whole lot easier!
Ok I know, it’s weird looking… I thought the same thing. This baby floatie is called the Otteroo, I was fortunate enough to be gifted it. Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical at first just because of the way it looks when it’s on baby. I watched a bunch of videos about this product and read all the instructions very carefully before trying it out. I put the floatie around baby’s neck with her chin on the chin rest. She kinda looked at me like, “What the heck are you doing to me?” After the Otteroo was securely fastened I placed her in the tub. She still looked at me kinda crazy, but within a few minutes she stared grinning and kicked her little legs. She seriously loved it!
When we first started using the Otteroo, my baby just kinda floated and kicked happily. Now that she is getting a little older she is starting to explore a little more. One of my favorite things about the Otteroo is that I can bathe all three kids at once. Yes it takes almost ALL my energy to conquer bath time, but this helps keep baby safer with brother and sister around. Of course I am right there watching all of them, but it makes it a lot easier because I don’t have to hold onto a slippery baby while getting her squeaky clean.
Before having the Otteroo I used a little seat thing for my baby to sit in, but she always got cold before I could get her all the way clean. Using the Otteroo keeps baby’s legs and arms in the warm tub, keeps her cute head above the water, I’m not handling a slippery baby, and she floats happily while I wash her up. Bath time is always a favorite time in our house, but the Otteroo has made it even better!
This picnic blanket is one of my favorite things ever! This summer the kids and I went to the splash pad with a couple other moms regularly. One of the moms had this picnic blanket and I knew we needed one too! The great thing about this picnic blanket is that it is a tote. The blanket folds up and zips up into a tote which makes it super easy to carry and store. Whenever we go out, we usually have our arms super full so my husband or I just throw the strap over our shoulder. This no-hands feature on the picnic blanket is a must since my hands are usually reserved for holding kiddos hands.
This picnic blanket has already proved its worth and we have only had it for a few months. We just keep it in the back of the van and anytime we go anywhere with grass we utilize it. This picnic blanket has gone to the park, soccer practice/games, and even just to hang out on the lawn of our family cabin. One of my favorite memories of the summer was the one pictured below. We had an impromptu snow cone date at the park. Spills are inevitable with kids. We had a snow cone spilt on ours and because of the polyester material, I brushed off the mess without it soaking into the blanket and ruining it!
If you love park time with the kids, this Picnic Time blanket is a must!
Ok, so the oatmeal favorite is kind of random but this is my go-to meal for breakfast. Oatmeal is healthy, easy to make, and cheap! Win-win-win!!!
My favorite thing about this oatmeal is that the package also measures the water. I may sounds lazy, but hey, anything that makes breakfast easier and faster is awesome to me! To make this oatmeal you cut the top of the package, pour out the oatmeal into a bowl, measure the water up to the water line on the package, stir, stick it in the microwave for 2.5 minutes, and enjoy! It’s seriously so easy. Working part time means mornings can be pretty crazy. With this oatmeal, I pop it in the microwave and usually eat it on the go. I’m also breastfeeding currently so I’m always hungry, oatmeal is the perfect healthy and filling breakfast for me.
If you want to check out this awesome oatmeal you can click here to see it on Amazon. You can purchase from the link, but keep in mind that it’s WAY cheaper at Walmart on the cereal isle-only $2.50 a box!
Share some of your favorites this week in the comments below!
