When I heard about the Mifold booster seat, I was SOLD! “It fits in a backpack?” you ask. Yes! In fact, the Mifold fits in my TODDLER’S backpack!
My four-year-old actress and I recently went to Oregon for an acting job. To get to the airport my daughter and I took an Uber. Then, in Oregon we took multiple Ubers and vans. I knew we would be in and out of vehicles a lot so the Mifold was a must! This awesome seat can fold up easily becoming portable and compact fitting in my little girl’s backpack! At the airport, we put the Mifold in her backpack and she carried it on the plane to Oregon.
On the plane everyone continued to ask, “what is that?!” Another mom who was there had a “regular” booster seat and she said, “man, I’m carrying around this big ‘ol thing!” It was so nice to have my hands free from a big booster to hold my daughter’s hand and wheel our luggage through the airport.
Along with travel, we also keep one Mifold in the trunk of my husband’s car in case we have a kid in that car. I can’t say enough awesome things because this saved us on our Oregon trip AND our trip to Utah in July! Below are the pros and cons of the Mifold:
-fits in a small backpack
-light enough for child to carry
-A little difficult for my four-year-old to buckle herself in
-Harder to get out of than the “regular” booster seat
This booster seat is more than 10x smaller than a normal booster seat. Even though the Mifold is small, it is just as safe as “regular” booster seats. This was my biggest worry, but after doing some research I was assured that the safety of this seat is up to par. The Mifold is designed for kids four and up, 40 to 100 lbs, and 40 to 57 inches tall. If you have a child in these ranges the Mifold is a must- especially if you are traveling!
What other convenient must-haves do you use when traveling with your little ones?
