Have you read the book Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis yet? Every woman I knew was ranting and raving about this book last Spring. At first, I worried the hype of this book would leave me disappointed in the end. What I discovered was quite the opposite. I found myself marking pages, taking screen shots of powerful paragraphs and sending them to friends or family. In one page Hollis would share embarrassing stories that would leave your stomach aching from the laughter then share shocking statements that would shake your core with it’s truths.
Raw, Powerful and Life-altering
“I peed my pants last week. ” That is the first line of Girl, Wash Your Face. If this doesn’t set the tone for the rest of the book- I don’t know what will. Throughout this novel Hollis shared embarrassing and tragic stories about herself, exposing raw emotions that many women, many people can relate to.
If you haven’t had a chance to read Girl Wash Your Face- I urge you to reconsider. Hollis directs her readers to stop believing the lies about who you are, so you can become who you were meant to be. In each chapter Hollis shines a light on the lies she once believed through her life experiences and ends each chapter on the three ways you too can stop believe those lies.
